How to mark a square
- A square counts when you finish a book where that creature is a POV character or plays a major role — a passing mention doesn't count.
- One book can only mark one square, even if it features multiple creatures from the board.
- Squares must be marked in the order books are finished; you may not backfill a square retroactively for a book read before the challenge began.

Line & board bonuses
Bonuses stack on top of your square points.

Leaderboard tiebreakers
Rankings are decided in this order:
- Total points
- Number of blackouts achieved
- Earliest full-board completion date
